Press Release: IPMA Young Crew’s biggest event of the year, with the motto “Don’t Panic!” will be held this year in Crete, 26-28 October. Over 100 participants from Young Crews all around the world are going to take part. For three days the event will offer the opportunity to network, exchange experiences and to get to know the Young Crew on an international level.
On Friday, 26 October, the Global Young Crew Workshop will open for registration at 1pm, followed by two parallel workshop sessions. During these sessions Luca Cavone and Estuardo Calderon Sheel will provide guidance and new tools for emerging as well as established communities of project managers.
On Saturday and Sunday keynotes and workshops will cover a variety of project management topics in the theme of “Don’t Panic.” There will be a workshop on improvisation theater techniques, teaching attendees how to improvise and react smartly in challenging situations. Another workshop will show the negative effects of project managers showing panic reactions in front of their team when being faced with changing project requirements and environments as well as time constraints.
Participants will learn strategies to avoid such reactions as well as get to know project management methodologies to reestablish the structure in a project and calm down the project team and the stakeholders.
