The Young Project Manager of the Year, the award recognizing the most promising talents in the field of project management, is approaching to its final phase.
In August, Round 2 was closed and the applications have been reviewed. As in the past the level of all the candidates was very high and the Jury had a delicate role in the assessment process.
Three finalists were nominated, that will join the Global Young Crew Workshop and IPMA World Congress in Dubrovnik:

In a pilot year the finalists of the IPMA Achievement Awards are announced only in the Category Community Service/Development Project 2013*
At this stage no further results from the Judges’ decision may be released until the IPMA Award Gala which takes place on the 1st October 2013 at the 27th IPMA World Congress in Dubrovnik.
During the Gala also Project Exellence Awards Winners as well as Reseach Awards Winners will be awarded.

The Award Management Board together with the Iran Project Management Association provides an opportunity to be trained according to the IPMA Project Excellence Model and gain a knowledge necessary to become an award assessor. The participants will be qualified to assess the applications submitted for the IPMA International Project Excellence Award as well as IPMA regional and sector awards (under development) based on the PE Model.
Additional to the regular program the trainees can participate in the session: Introduction to organisational competence in project management (Organiational Competence Baseline = OCB and assessment = IPMA Delta). (more…)
The second Award Jury meeting for the IPMA International Project Excellence Award 2013 took place on 28 July in Zürich.
Several projects in the three categories: Medium, Big and Mega have been presented and final decisions for Finalists, Bronze, Silver and Gold Winners have been taken.
At this stage no further results from the Jury decision may be released until the IPMA Award Gala which in 2013 will take place on 1 October at the 27th IPMA World Congress in Dubrovnik.

YOUNG CREW PRESS RELEASE: 29 June, 2013. The Young Project Manager of the Year, the award recognizing the most promising talents in the field of project management, extends the deadline for application to Round 1 up to July 10th, to make the challenge even more exciting.

To speed up the process, also candidates who already applied via e-mail are requested to compile the same form.
By mid of June, Young Crew and the Award Office completed the process for jury selection.

The IPMA Award Management Board announces the change in the names of levels which can be reached by the applicants.
Following Olympic Philosophy the Project Excellence Award Finalists from now will be selected as Gold, Silver or Bonze winners.
Moreover taking as example the same philosophy in every category the best managed project will be announced as The Award Gold Winner.
Meeting the expectations of companies interested in the IPMA Project Excellence Model and Award we announce additional date for the webinar on 25 February 2013. Both previous webinars were attended by 15 participants each. Make sure that this time you don’t miss it.
