This Events section lists events that are of interest to IPMA Member Associations, our members and our friends. Events that meet the guidelines below may also be featured on the front page of our website, in addition to appearing in this Events section.
We invite IPMA Member Associations and our strategic affiliates to submit events for posting on this page. Email us, at , with the following information:
Your event headline, in this format: IPMA Expert Seminar, 16 – 17 Feb. 2014; Zurich, SW; this headline must not exceed 45-50 characters;
A 60×60 pixel small and distinctive logo, used as an icon to call attention to the event. Only submissions with this icon will be considered for posting on the IPMA front page;
A 20-30 word summary of the event, explaining the what, who, why, and where. Do not repeat details from the headline.
You may follow the summary with more details if you wish; and, you should include web links to additional information at your own website;
Optionally, a larger graphic, in the range not to exceed 350×200 pixels. Note that we usually do not post full-width banners.
All graphics should be submitted as separate files, rather than embedded in other documents.
Reminder: IPMA and Member Association event posting requests that carefully follow the above guidelines are candidates for rotation onto the front page of the IPMA website on a periodic basis.

The APM Project Management Conference, with a long-held reputation for agenda setting content featuring some of the world’s most influential and thought provoking speakers, have added two more inspirational names to the already impressive speaker line-up.
Opening the conference will be one of Britain’s best known psychologists; Professor Richard Wiseman. Joining Richard at Kings Place in London on Thursday 13th June will be Bechtel programme director Bill Henry.
Award-winning Richard Wiseman holds Britain’s only Professorship in the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, where he researches an eclectic range of topics including luck, self-help, illusion and persuasion. Latvian National Project management association along with the National Project Management associations is organizing a two day conference Baltic Project Management Days 2013, which will be held in Radisson BLU Daugava Hotel in Riga, Latvia.
Baltic PM Days is a pan-Baltic conference (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) for project professionals and businesses to exchange experiences in project management and discuss the trends, methods, solutions.

John-Paris Pantouvakis, the Chairman of the 26th IPMA World Congress, Mr Miles Shepherd, the Chairman of the Congress Program, and Mr Roberto Mori, the President of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) opened the 26th IPMA World Congress in the Mediterranean island of Crete on 29th October 2012. The theme of the 26th IPMA World Congress, the first one to be organized in Greece, is “Integrating Project Management Standards”.
The congress, which comprised an extensive system of plenary sessions with keynote presentations by some of the most renowned experts in the profession, simultaneous parallel sessions with both practitioner and scientific foci, and a generous offering of social events surrounding the official congress program, took place at the Creta Maris Convention Centre, located in the Hersonissos district of Crete on 29th … 31st October 2012.
The congress was organized by the Network of Project Managers in Greece (PM-Greece), the Greek IPMA Member Association, in cooperation with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), under auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure.

An IPMA Global Young Crew Workshop (GYCW) preceded the World Congress on October 26th… 28th, 2012. The Global Young Crew Workshop was organized as an opportunity for young project-oriented people around the world to get to know one another. The GYCW comprised interactive workshops and presentations from renowned keynote speakers.
Participants had the opportunity to expand their horizons and bring new and creative views to the way they manage their projects. A special emphasis was on group discussions, interactive learning, networking and having fun. This event can be considered the premium IPMA event for young project managers and people building a career in project management.
Join Project Management Association Finland (PMAF) as they celebrate PM Days. With a main theme of Change Management, this event promises to be the season’s highlight. The theme has been divided into three different subtitles:

Effective research management — the important competence within organizations involved in research projects; Cracow, 22-24th November 2012.
IPMA Festival of Knowledge in Poland was organized by ProResearch Foundation, that supports and promotes the efficient, proper and safe implementation of research projects, International Project Management Association (IPMA), LENS Living Lab and IPMA Special Interest Group (SIG) Project Management in Research, in partnership with IPMA Poland, University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Industrial Development Agency and National Capital Fund. The media patronage over the Festival was taken by 4PM and INOVA Consulting, while its patron was the National Centre for Research and Development.

International Project Management Association (IPMA) recognizes, as IPMA Honorary Fellows, those persons who over a period of many years render exceptional service for IPMA and/or to the practice and theory of Project Management. Candidates for honorary fellowship are nominated by IPMA Member Associations, evaluated and recommended by the IPMA Executive Board, and elected by the Council of Delegates. (more…)
Press Release: IPMA Young Crew’s biggest event of the year, with the motto “Don’t Panic!” was held this year in Crete, 26-28 October. Over 60 participants from Young Crews all around the world took part.
